Engagements and Weddings- Henderson/Ward Wedding Weekend!

Our wedding weekend began on Friday, August 1st as Wes and I greeted our out-of-town guests and made sure all the details were ironed out for the big day. Wes and the guys had Brews and Baseball Night at the Travs game and pool hall while me and the gals had a very relaxing manicure/pedicure party with lots of chocolate and red wine. My best buds, Theo and Jake, flew in from Manhattan so after the game and gal bonding, we met up with them to celebrate the weekend.


Wes and I were married August 2, 2008, at a beautiful private ceremony at Allsop Park in Little Rock. Fortunately for us, it was the HOTTEST DAY OF THE YEAR! Ha.Ha. Good thing we were only there about 15 minutes and then we were off to PARTY (which is one of my favorite things to do).

Our reception was at Our Lady of the Holy Souls in Hillcrest and it was a blast. We are so blessed with many loving family and friends and it was wonderful to share our special day with all of them. My brother, Tony, and Wes' bud Jon gave our toasts and they were very touching and meaningful. Our first dance was "God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys and our family dance was "Teach Your Children Well" by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. The Libras rocked the party and lots of food and ice cream was served.

After the reception, we headed downtown to the Flying Saucer to have an after party with our family and friends that had flown in town for the big event. It was a blast. To wrap up our wedding weekend, we had a brunch at Bosco's on Sunday for our family and out of town guests. It was our dream wedding weekend.We feel very lucky to have found each other after all of these years.
