Holiday Fun and Charity Events: Stuff the Stocking Cookie Party!

Violet hosted a Stuff the Stocking Cookie Party for her friends, family (and mom's friends) to collect items to stuff stocking for the Salvation Army. The idea came from my awesome girls' night group who did this last year instead of exchanging gifts. It was a blast! The kids decorated cookies while the gals ate delicious food made by Mamaw Nancy, visited and stuffed 21 stockings!!! Plus, all of the wonderful guests brought so many goodies for other kids, there were two additional boxes of stocking stuffers donated to the Salvation Army! Violet and I are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends that are so caring and giving to others. Thanks to Aunt Tammy, Aunt Penny and Mamaw for all of their help! God Bless and cannot wait for next year! Love to all! V and T

Travel Review: DISNEYWORLD!

The Saturday after Thanksgiving, we packed up Violet and headed to Orlando for a fun filled Disney World vacation with the Worthington's (and Streeter's....Lisa is a former Worthington :)) It was an absolute blast! The weather was great, the company was fabulous as always and Violet had a great time (so did Wes and I!). The only drawback was V's fears of the characters close up...but oh well, the rest of the fun made up for it. Violet now loves Mickey, Minnie and Pluto is her fave! The bus rides and meeting new people was V's absolutely favorite thing to do. She is such a people person!

EXTRA! EXTRA! WARD FAMILY TO EXPAND...AGAIN!

It has been quite the fall (hence the lack of post on the New Ward Times). We have been super busy having lots of fun with Violet. She is growing so fast...RUNNING everywhere and says new words and makes new sounds every day. I cannot believe how much she has grown.

Speaking of growing, we also found out at the beginning of fall that WE ARE HAVING ANOTHER BABY! So, it has definitely been an eventful season and we feel so blessed. June will be here before we know it! We are super excited, overwhelmed, excited! Violet will be a great big sister. So, we have lots of adventures ahead in the Ward family and on The New Ward Times. Added bonus: My brother and sister in law are also having another baby in June...we are one week apart. So, Hallie will be a big sister too. Serena and I are close (as bub and I) so it just adds so much joy and fun to the pregnancy adventure. Stay tuned for updates and the "big reveal" in January.

The holiday season is approaching and there will be lots to update, especially our upcoming trip to Disney World with the Worthingtons. We cannot wait! Tis the season to have fun, be blessed and give to others. Love to all!

Holiday Hooplah: Happy Halloween!

Violet had a very eventful Halloween this year. On Friday, the whole family went to Boo at the Zoo. Vi and Hallie had fun and so did grammie and popi. Saturday, we went to Auntie Cecilia's house for trick or treating fun and party. She had probably 200 treaters. It was so fun. Sunday, we kept it low key and greeted treaters at our house. Violet loved holding up the candy basket for the treaters to get some goodies. It was so fun and our little bumble bee was too cute!

Weekend Fun: The Scott Pumpkin Patch

We took Violet to the Scott Pumpkin Patch to pick out a pumpkin and for some fun. She had a blast. She enjoyed the petting zoo, cruising the pumpkins and she even rode her first horse, Patches. She is growing too fast and we love her sooo much.

Charity Events: Race for the Cure

Grammie, Vi and Mommy getting ready for the race!

Mom, Violet and I participated in Race for the Cure this year with Violet's godmother. Wes was in the 3 Miles of Men cheering us on all morning. The crowd was insane but the company was great. Violet was a little lioness mascot of our team.
