Travel Review: Richmond, Chapel Hill and Washington D.C.

After Obama won the presidency, Wes and I decided it would be the perfect time to go to an inauguration and mark that off of our life list. Wes' Uncle Vern and Aunt Viv live in the D.C. area and that was a super added bonus, because not only did we have a place to stay, but we got to visit with them and watch history together!

We flew into Richmond, VA and stayed the evening so we could peruse the town the next day. We went to the Confederate Museum (Yee-haw) and the Holocaust Museum (very sad).

Then, I got a wild hair to go see Lisa, Jason and Jack in Chapel Hill and Wes went for it! So, we got in the rental car and headed down to see the fam.

I felt very lucky this week because Andy and Krystal had stayed with Wes and I in Little Rock over the weekend on their trek from Cali to Jersey. Then we saw Lisa, Jason and Jack the next weekend and Theo came down to see us on Monday. It was a surprise Worthington week! Wes, Theo and I went to the Smithsonian Air Museum at Dulles Airport and it was pretty cool.
Wes could totally pass for Maverick, don't you think?
