Quick Update: Vacation, Milestones and Events, oh my!

There is a lot more to come here at The New Ward Times. Wes and I took an AMAZING trip through Colorado, South Dakota, and Wyoming...3600 miles in 7 days! Violet has taken 3 steps and is standing up on her own getting up the nerve to take a few more steps. She is also saying new words and has to be on the move. Plus, we are about a month out from the BIG FIRST BIRTHDAY! We want to thank our faithful readers of The New Ward Times and hope you keep reading and hope your lives are as happy and fulfilled as ours.

Social Events: Storytime by Nickelodeon!

Hallie LOVES Dora the Explorer. So when she was coming to town, Wes and I decided to take the girls. Of course, Grammie had to join the fun. Both girls did great for their first "show" and Violet passed out just before Dora (haha). But she did get to see Hai Ki (sp?), the Backyardigans and The Wonder Pets. After the show, we had lunch at Heifer Village, which was delicious! A good time was had by everyone.

Hallie got Violet as close to the rail as possible.

Milestones: Hallie turns 2! Serena turns 25 and Popi...well Popi had a birthday!

July is the month of birthdays for the Henderson family (Dad the 9th, Serena the 10th, Hallie the 12th and Tony the 26th). All of us (including our imports) have summer birthdays starting with Mom on June 12th and ending with Wes on September 17th (technically still the summer season). So, the summer is a huge celebration for the family! Hallie's party was at Grammie and Popi's and was such a blast. I cannot believe my other little gal is 2. It just seems like yesterday when I was at the hospital waiting all night long for her to be born. The older she gets, her personality is more like her Aunt TaTa's, which is Miss Independent with a stubborn streak a mile long. At least Violet has her daddy's personality ;). Later that evening, I met Serena and Tony at Cajun's to celebrate Serena's birthday. It was fun!

Me and my girls.

Great-grandma Nancy, Aunt Penny, Aunt Tammy, Hallie and Vi having fun sand time!

Tea time! Garrett and Finn were also there but did have crazy wrestling time with Wes.

Holiday Hooplah! Happy 4th of July!

Wes and I decided to stay in Arkansas for the 4th of July this year. We missed our Jersey family and the fun party that Chuck and Rebecca do an excellent job planning year after year. Violet went to Grammie and Popi's while Mom and Dad did a TON of work around the hacienda. We then joined her for the 4th at the lake house and had a nice, relaxing time. Hoped everyone had a fabulous 4th of July!

Chillin with Daddy.

Violet loves the rocking horse.

Milestones: Violet turns 10 months!

Grammie and Popi came to town for the Eagles concert on Vi's 10 month birthday and brought her special birthday treats: Little Debbie Fancy Cakes and Chocolate Moon Pies. She devoured both. She is so energetic, EVERYWHERE, and an absolute joy. I hope she makes our readers smile as much as she makes us smile. Up next: Walking!

Happy Birthday to Vi!

Yummy Fancy Cake!

She loves it! (Takes after her mom with that sweet tooth!)

Moon Pie for seconds!

Absolutely stuffed. Whew!

Fun Times with Little Vi.

Holiday Hooplah! Happy Father's Day!

For Father's Day we just chilled at the house. It was a nice, relaxing time for the family. Of course, we had to do something fun like have donuts and watch Where the Wild Things Are. Wes is the best daddy in the whole world (along with my dad :)) and we love him soooooo much! Happy Father's Day to all dads, whether you are a dad to a child, adult, furry kid or a "second dad" to someone who needs some loving direction. Hope everyone had a wonderful Father's Day!

Just relaxin with Macy, smiling at my daddy!
