It has been forever since I have gotten to blog. Violet is growing so fast! She will be 5 months Monday and is doing more everyday. She loves to do crunches to try and pull up (it will be a bit, but is fun to watch). She LOVES bath time. She has been sleeping regularly through the night...until TEETHING started this week! Now, we live in the land of drool. It hasn't been too bad yet, or she hasn't really been fussy. She is such a joy and we have so much fun with her. It is hard watching her grow so fast though. She will be walking before we know it! She loves getting on her elbows and knees and to be on her feet (with assistance from mom and dad, of course!). She really gets a kick out of her reflection and is babbling more everyday. So cute and sweet, it just makes me smile thinking about it. I hope to post more pictures very soon. We just haven't had time to get them off of the camera!! Stay tuned..the best is yet to come with Violet and The New Ward Times. Love to all!
We truly cannot believe how fast 2009 passed and that Violet is four months old! She and Hallie went to Grammie and Popi's for NYE so the parents could have a night out on the town. Wes and I opted for a nice dinner and then fell asleep watching Arrested Development...oh at about 10 p.m. (Happy New Year). New Year's Day was Violet's 4 month milestone and the intention was to pick her up at lunch and have our traditional "party" that afternoon. Well, fate would wish us a Happy New Year by granting us with food poisoning! It was AWFUL! So, Violet and Hallie spent another night with Grammie and Popi and had an absolute blast. They are thick as thieves already and I feel alot of mischief coming on the older they get. They celebrated Violet's 4 month birthday and played so hard that Violet fell asleep in the walker. (Stay tuned for pictures, we have to get them off of Grammie's camera.) Wes and I were better (somewhat) on Saturday and went to get our gal. She is getting so big (14 lbs) and is becoming more active and interactive everyday. Her new favorite thing to do is touch her toes. It is too cute. And she loves to laugh, as long as someone is laughing with her. We are looking forward to 2010 with Violet and will be sharing fun times with everyone in The New Ward Times. Happy New Year!
It has been a crazy couple of weeks for the Ward family. Sorry we are just getting to the Christmas photos, but better late than never! On the 23rd, we met Santa Clause! Violet wasn't too impressed but was good the whole time. We missed one Christmas because of an ear infection (Vi's first) but had a wonderful Christmas Eve at Grammie and Popi's, Christmas Day relaxing at our home and an after-Christmas "Christmas" at other Grammy and Papa George's in Hot Springs. It was so wonderful to share such a fabulous holiday with our little sweetie. She is cooing, laughing, gabbing, rolling over and having fun in her new door bouncer/jumper. Violet is our best gift of all!
Waiting for the big Santa debut.
Hmmm...Violet is not that impressed with the man in red.
