Violet's first Valentine's Day was so full of love. We love that little gal so much it was hard to let her go to Grammie and Popi's so we could go out on a date. Of course, she has so much fun there, I am pretty sure she does not even miss us!!! But, we sure miss her. Wes and I went to The Starving Artist Cafe' and it was wonderful. If you have never been, I highly recommend it. It is always delicious and the owners are great people. On Valentine's Day we went up to Mom and Dad's to get Violet and brought her Valentine's treats. She got a new hair bow, The Jungle Book and The Muppet's take Manhattan. Frankly, she mostly enjoyed eating her Valentine's cards from us and the pets. Wes and I also received a treat from Violet...she began to sit up on her own! Hooray! She is growing up way too fast. We are looking forward to all of the wonderful holidays ahead with Violet. She has made them all better. Hope everyone had a loved filled day.

Food Review: By New Ward Times Food Critic Macy J. Ward
My little sister Violet has begun to eat delicious food! So far she has had bananas, green beans and peaches. I prefer the green beans if I can get a morsel of leftovers. Violet is very overzealous when it comes to her meals. She is now up to 17lbs 1oz. That's half of Roscoe's weight!! I love my little sister and I look forward to her dropping food on the floor for Roscoe and I to enjoy!

Winter Wonderland. Another Snow Day!
The Monday after the Superbowl gave us a big shock. It was snowing...hard..and we received 7 inches of snow at our house! That is the most snow I have seen in probably 20 years. It was beautiful. We had a fun snow day (in between working at home) with Violet and the furry kids. Unfortunately, we did not get any snow pictures of Violet because it was snowing and raining on Monday and Tuesday it was just ice. Booo..we were hoping to get some, but Miss Ear Infection did not need to be out in those elements.
But, we did have fun inside. We started the day with fun in the walker. Wes thought it would be a great idea to tie Macy to the walker to pull Vi around the house. So...Macy was tied to the walker and I slowly dangled a treat in front of her face to get her to pull Violet. It was hysterical!!

Social Events: Superbowl Sunday (aka..the Big Game)
Resting up for the big party.
For the Superbowl we went to Tony, Serena and Hallie's for some fun. Chuck, Helen and Case were there as were Chad, Jen, Garrett and Finn. Everyone ate way too much, but the food was so good, you could not stop! Violet had bananas for the first time and it was too funny because, not only did she get them everywhere, but Hallie then wanted some! With five kids going crazy, what game was on again? Go Saints!Garrett and Finn having to deal with the joys of being a girl's house.
They both love food.
Here Vi...I will help you!
Mr. Case with Sophie (which ended up being the popular toy of the evening.)
I can take that spoon for you Mom.
Wait Hallie...my dad is trying to take our picture!
Dinner time! Chicken nuggets for Hallie!

So, the boss is growing more every day. She is getting to be comical and loves to give myself, Ross and Macy pets. I feel I am really going to love this little gal because I love pets. Enjoy the pictures of my sweet little sister and stay tuned...she will be crawling very soon.

Spinnin my DJ tunes.

Mom and Grammie are training for the LR Marathon so we have fun Fridays. I am laughing because she and Mom are being silly.

Giving Grammie kisses.

Sleeping soundly...until Mom woke me up!

Lovin the MumMums!

Weeee! This always makes me laugh!

Standing tall...for about 5 seconds.

Milestones: Violet turns 5 months!
Really? Has it been 5 months already? Violet is such a joy. For her big 5 month bday she got to enjoy some MumMums! She loved them. She is eating rice cereal, bananas and mummums as of today. We are trying peas tomorrow! Her 4 month checkup ended up being her 5 month check because she was sick at 4 months (booo). She is a whopping 16lbs 1oz and 25 1/4 inches long. A chunk but the cutest thing you have ever seen. She is babbling, laughing, jumping in her jumparoo and enjoying her walker. She also gives kissed and hugs which are so heart warming they make us smile. Here are some fun picks from the big 5 month bday.
