Family Fun Day: Wild River Country

We took Violet to Wild River Country to cool off and do some swimming. She had a blast! Good thing we have season passes, we will be having lots of fun at the WRC this summer!
Loving the slide!

Having fun in the pool.

Charity Events: Paws on the Pavement

On Saturday, June 4th, the family (minus Miles) headed down to Murray Park for CARE's annual Paws on the Pavement Family Fun Walk. It was a scorcher but we had a good time, especially Violet who loves dogs!

Milestones: Grammie turns 50!

Actually, she is not 50 yet...mom turns 50 on June 12th, but since Trent is due June 8th and Edie is due June 18th, we were not sure what the family would be doing on June 12th. So....we planned a surprise party for mom on Memorial Day weekend. She was so surprised and it was so great seeing her so happy and surrounded by her family. Happy Birthday Mom!

Waiting on Grammie.

Surprise!

She is in shock!

Milestones: Violet's First Haircut!

First haircut...on Mom's lap!

Thank goodness for the sucker they gave her!

Well folks, it was finally time for V to get her first haircut! At almost 21 months old, we had enough locks to get a trim. Since then, her hair has been growing like crazy! It looks like she will have Wes' hair color, but it will be thick like her mom's. After the haircut, we went and had a fun dinner at All Aboard, the new restaurant in LR where a train drops the food off at your table. Vi loved it and talked about it for days! We will definitely be going back for more fun.

All aboard! Choochoo brought us our food.

Violet loved watching the train!

Holiday Hooplah: Happy Mother's Day!

Mother's Day was absolutely wonderful. I got to sleep in till 9 (a miracle!) and Vi and Wes made me a fabulous breakfast. They also bought me a gorgeous ring and some delicious chocolates. After afternoon naps, we went to the Zoo and had so much fun. Violet took some flowers in memory of Mary, the elephant that passed away earlier that week. In was a special day. Hope all mom's had a wonderful day!

Social Events: NWA BABY SHOWER!

My fabulous friends in northwest Arkansas threw Edie a wonderful baby shower the weekend after Easter. My friend Angela and I have really reconnected in our adult years and I treasure her friendship. She introduced me to Mischelyn and Susan, who are so wonderful and have the best spirits and who co-hosted the awesome shower! Top it off with my TWO best friends growing up, Beth and Natalie, and my bff from PT school, Britt and it was a fabulous afternoon. Of course, I missed the gals that could not make it, but it was a fab shower. Love all my NWA friends and miss you lots! I am so lucky!

Holiday Hooplah: Happy Easter!

Easter was fun as well after the shower on Saturday. Violet was all about Easter egg hunting which was both fun and funny. She is such a joy. We think she is going to be a fabulous big sister to Edie. She is getting excited and that is making it so much fun! Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter with family and friends.

What did the Easter Bunny leave?

Here it is! The practice round of Easter egg hunting.

Looking for more eggs.

Found another! She was a quick learner.
